Tenants & Leases

Notices (Renewals, Late Rent, Move-Out)

Review auto-drafted lease notices, run the fair-housing check, then approve and send.

The Notices page drafts the routine letters that come with a lease's lifecycle so you don't have to write them from scratch — then lets you review, edit, and send them.

What gets drafted

Rental Command looks at your leases and creates draft notices when they're due:

  • Renewal offer — when a lease is approaching its end.
  • Late rent — when rent is past due.
  • Move-out reminder — when a lease is winding down.

Click Generate drafts to have it scan your leases and create any new drafts that are needed. Each draft is tied to a tenant, property, and unit and shows the reason it was triggered.

Review and edit

  1. Open Notices (drafts are shown by default).
  2. Click Edit on a draft to adjust the subject and message.

Check for fair-housing issues

Before sending, click Check for fair-housing issues. The app reviews your wording and either confirms it looks compliant or flags specific phrases that could be a problem, with a suggested rewrite you can apply with one click. This helps you avoid language that could violate fair-housing rules. (If AI review isn't set up, it tells you it couldn't check the copy.)

Approve and send

  1. Choose how to deliver it — Portal, Email, SMS, or any combination.
  2. Click Approve & send.

Sent notices can be opened as a conversation in Messages. You can also Dismiss a draft you don't want to send.
