Banking and Reconciliation

Connect a bank feed and match bank lines to your records with one-tap confirm.

Banking brings your real bank activity into Rental Command so you can confirm that the rent and expenses you recorded actually hit your account. It's read-only — Rental Command never moves money, it just reads transactions and helps you match them.

Connect a bank feed

  1. Open Banking.
  2. Click Connect Plaid (or Connect account) and pick your bank through the secure Plaid window.

Once connected, click Sync on the connection to pull in new bank lines. (If you don't use Plaid, you can also import lines manually.) Deposits show as positive amounts, withdrawals as negative.

Match a bank line — one tap

For each unmatched bank line, Rental Command suggests the payment or expense it probably belongs to. Matching is a one-tap confirm: click Match to link them. There's also a Review suggested matches queue at the top — for deposits that look like rent you already recorded, click Confirm match so the same money isn't counted twice (or Not a match to dismiss).

The "✓ Cleared" badge

Once a payment or expense is matched to a bank line, it shows a green ✓ Cleared badge in your Accounting ledger — your proof that the money actually moved. In the ledger you may also see a "Match?" chip on a record when a likely bank line is found; tap it to clear it right there.

Ignore personal lines

Bank feeds include personal spending (coffee, rideshare) that has nothing to do with the rentals. Click Ignore on those lines to keep them out of your books. They move to the Ignored filter and can be brought back with Un-ignore if you change your mind.
