Lease Agreement and E-Signature

Generate the lease agreement PDF and send it to the tenant for electronic signature.

Once a lease is set up, Rental Command can produce the actual lease agreement document and send it to your tenant to sign electronically — no printing or scanning required.

Generate the lease agreement PDF

  1. Open the lease detail page.
  2. Click Generate to create the lease agreement PDF from the lease's terms.
  3. Once generated, a Download button appears so you can save or print a copy.

You can regenerate it if you change the lease terms.

Send for electronic signature

  1. On the lease, click Send for signature.
  2. The tenant gets the agreement to sign electronically — they don't need to print, sign, and scan anything.

The signature card shows the current status: Not sent, Sent — waiting for signature, Signed, or Declined. While it's out for signature the page checks automatically and flips to Signed once the tenant signs. After that, a Download signed lease option gives you the finished, signed PDF.

If signing isn't available

Electronic signature relies on an e-signature provider being set up for your account. If it isn't, you'll see a calm note that it's "not configured" instead of an error. You can still generate and download the PDF and have it signed the traditional way.
